Vision
Unlikely Heroes wants to see child sex slavery ended worldwide. Our vision is every boy and girl, who has been sold for sex in America and internationally, to have access to protective shelters and specialized services needed to stop cycles of victimization and to provide them with the opportunities they need to move forward into recovery.
Philippines
Unlikely Heroes has teamed up with Project AK-47, a non-profit organization that is "rescuing and restoring the lives of children who would otherwise have only known lives of violence and exploitation,"to launch a restoration home for girls who have been sold for sex in the Philippines. This home that will provide safe housing, food, and rehabilitation for 10 child victims. We opened the home in November 2011.
United States
Unlikely Heroes will build residential support centers that will provide long-term residential services, education, life skills, and recovery support to children who have been sold for profit in America between the ages of 12-18. To launch these homes, Unlikely Heroes is working with other non-profit organizations who have over 10 years of experience running facilities for commercially exploited children worldwide. Unlikely Heroes is also partnering with other non-profit organizations in the United States who are working towards the advocacy, awareness, education and rehabilitation of children who have been sold for sex.
